Mr Andreas Shiatis is a highly respected Consultant Plastic Surgeon at the Centre for Surgery in the UK. With an impressive educational background and years of specialised training, he has established himself as a leading figure in the field. A graduate of the University of Nottingham Medical School, Mr Shiatis also earned the prestigious Fulbright Scholarship to study at Boston University in the United States. His journey to becoming a consultant surgeon was marked by rigorous training and dedication. Mr Shiatis completed his plastic surgery training as a Nationally Appointed Plastic Surgery Trainee within the esteemed London Deanery. During this time, he gained hands-on experience across some of the most prestigious hospitals in the capital, including Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital, the Royal Free Hospital, and Chelsea and Westminster Hospital. His dedication and skill earned him the FRCS(Plast) qualification from the Royal College of Surgeons in England, a testament to his advanced expertise in the field. In 2021, he achieved another milestone by joining the General Medical Council (GMC) specialist register as a recognised plastic surgeon.
To further enhance his skills, Mr Shiatis pursued a microsurgery fellowship at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust. During this fellowship, he developed a particular focus on complex breast, head, and neck reconstruction procedures. Alongside reconstructive surgery, he gained extensive experience in aesthetic surgery by working closely with leading plastic surgeons in London. His professional development has been further supported by attending numerous courses and seminars across the UK and abroad, ensuring his knowledge remains at the forefront of modern surgical practices.
