Liquid Facelift (8 Point Lift)
Discover the transformative power of the 8 Point Lift – a minimally invasive Liquid Facelift that revitalises your appearance with natural, youthful results, all with minimal downtime and maximum confidence
As time passes, our skin naturally undergoes changes, often manifesting as looseness, wrinkles, and a crepey texture. Efforts to mask or improve these signs of ageing can sometimes inadvertently draw more attention to them. At Centre for Surgery, we understand these challenges and offer expert solutions.
Our team, comprising highly trained nurses, doctors, and surgeons, is committed to assisting you in achieving a naturally rejuvenated appearance. Our approach is such that you’ll find yourself wondering why you hadn’t visited us earlier. One of our notable treatments is the liquid facelift, also known as the MD codes or 8 Point Lift, recognised for its efficiency and minimal recovery time.
What Exactly is a Liquid Facelift?
The liquid facelift represents a revolutionary approach in the realm of non-surgical facelifts. Utilising dermal fillers, this treatment targets eight strategic facial areas to volumise and lift, resulting in an overall youthful and revitalised appearance. This technique, sometimes referred to as a fluid or liquid facelift, employs dermal fillers not just to fill in lines but to contour and elevate the face, offering a comprehensive anti-ageing solution. This tailored approach ensures a harmonious enhancement, maintaining the natural balance and beauty of your facial features.
Understanding the 8-Point Facelift: Targeted Areas for Facial Rejuvenation
The 8-point facelift, a cornerstone treatment at Centre for Surgery, is an innovative approach to facial rejuvenation, targeting specific areas of the face to achieve a harmonious and youthful appearance. This treatment is meticulously designed to address various signs of ageing by enhancing and sculpting the facial structure.
Let’s delve into the specific areas of the face that are targeted in this treatment:
Cheekbones Definition (Areas 1, 2, and 8)
The first, second, and eighth points in this facelift focus on the cheekbones. By enhancing these areas, the treatment helps to define and lift the cheekbones, providing a more youthful contour to the face.
Revitalising the Under-eye Area (Area 3)
The third point targets the hollows under the eyes, known as the tear troughs. Filling these areas reduces the appearance of tiredness and under-eye bags, resulting in a refreshed and awake look.
Softening Nasolabial Folds (Area 4)
The fourth point addresses the nasolabial folds, which are the lines running from the nose to the mouth. By filling and softening these folds, the face gains a smoother and more youthful appearance.
Lifting the Mouth Corners (Area 5)
This area focuses on lifting the corners of the mouth, effectively improving the look of marionette lines and giving a more positive and youthful expression.
Reducing Jowls (Area 6)
The sixth point aims at reducing the sagging of jowls, tightening this area to restore a firmer, more defined jawline.
Jawline Enhancement (Area 7)
The seventh point is dedicated to defining the jawline, enhancing the overall structure and profile of the face.
Available at our Baker Street clinic in London, the 8-point lift is a testament to our commitment to offering the latest and most effective treatments. What are the benefits of an 8 Point Facelift?
The 8-Point Facelift is a highly effective procedure that offers a multitude of benefits, particularly targeting the mid and lower face. This treatment is designed not just for lifting but for a holistic enhancement of facial features. Here’s a breakdown of its key advantages:
Mid-face Lifting
The procedure primarily focuses on lifting the mid-face area, restoring a youthful contour and reducing the appearance of ageing.
Contouring and Revitalisation
It goes beyond simple lifting, contouring the face to rejuvenate the entire mid and lower facial regions.
Restoration of Volume
One of the primary benefits is the restoration of lost volume, particularly in areas that tend to sag or deflate with age.
Lifting Sagging Jowls
The treatment effectively targets sagging jowls, a common concern as we age, providing a more defined jawline and youthful appearance.
Reduction of Lines and Wrinkles
By smoothing out the skin, the 8 Point Facelift significantly reduces the appearance of lines and wrinkles.
Softening of Nasolabial Folds
The procedure softens the nasolabial folds, commonly known as nose to mouth lines, making them less prominent and contributing to a smoother facial texture.
Eye Area Rejuvenation
The treatment also addresses the area around the eyes, revitalising tired-looking eyes and reducing the appearance of under-eye bags and hollows.

Liquid Facelift Treatment
The 8-Point Lift treatment is a sophisticated procedure designed to combat the signs of ageing and restore facial harmony. When you visit our clinic for your treatment, you’ll experience a carefully structured process, carried out by our expert aesthetic doctors or nurses. Here’s an overview of what to expect during the treatment:
Initial Review and Discussion
Upon arrival, your aesthetic specialist will review the treatment plan with you. This includes a thorough discussion about the procedure, potential side effects, and the expected downtime or recovery period. It’s an opportunity to address any last-minute questions you may have.
Preparation and Cleansing
The first step in the actual treatment process is the cleansing of your face. This ensures that the skin is clean and prepared for the injections, reducing the risk of any complications.
Strategic Dermal Filler Injections
The core of the treatment involves the careful injection of dermal fillers into eight specific points on each side of your face. These areas include:
-
- Tear Troughs: Targeting the under-eye area for a refreshed look.
- Cheek Bones: Three points are treated here to enhance facial definition and structure.
- Nasolabial Folds: Softening the lines running from the nose to the mouth.
- Mouth Corners: Lifting and rejuvenating the area around the mouth.
- Jowls: Addressing sagging to redefine the jawline.
- Jawline: Enhancing the contour and definition of the jaw.
Balanced and Harmonious Approach
The key to the 8-Point Lift is the simultaneous restoration of volume at these specific points on both sides of the face. This approach ensures a balanced and symmetrical lift, enhancing the natural contours of your face.
Advanced Technique for Comprehensive Rejuvenation
This procedure is more than just a series of injections. It’s an advanced technique that offers a complete solution to facial ageing. Unlike individual dermal filler treatments that might target specific areas, the 8-Point Lift addresses the face as a whole. It effectively combats soft tissue loss associated with ageing, offering a comprehensive and holistic approach to facial rejuvenation.
Benefits of an 8-Point Facelift Compared to a Surgical Facelift: A Detailed Comparison

A non-surgical facelift does not involve incisions or scars, and there is no requirement for a general anaesthetic. By avoiding the need for incisions, the risk of complications is also much less. Recovery after a non-surgical facelift is significantly quicker than a traditional surgical one. Unlike a surgical facelift, which is one procedure which can take a long time to perform, the techniques used for the non-surgical facelift can be performed over several treatments to both reduce risk and increase effectiveness. Although the results are less dramatic with each treatment, the effects become cumulative with multiple treatments, leading to impressive results after 3-6 months. For patients with more extensive signs of facial ageing, a surgical facelift may be better suited, followed, if necessary, by a schedule of non-surgical treatments to maintain and fine-tune the results over time.
A non-surgical facelift is ideal for younger patients developing signs of early ageing. This most often occurs in people in their 30s and 40s. With more extensive ageing and skin laxity, a surgical facelift can be performed later in the 5th or 6th decade. The real advantage of non-surgical facelift treatments such as Morpheus8 is their ability to optimise the results from a surgical facelift to prolong the results after 10-15 years. By consulting with a specialist aesthetic practitioner, dermatologist or plastic surgeon at the Centre for Surgery, you will have access to the full range of treatment options, both non-surgical and surgical, for a complete facial rejuvenation solution.
Morpheus8 non-surgical facelift
Morpheus8 is a fractional radiofrequency microneedling treatment for effectively treating lines and wrinkles, uneven tone and texture and skin tightening without requiring more invasive surgical procedures like a facelift. The Morpheus8 procedure achieves a fresher, younger and healthier appearance through tightening and lifting tissue in the neck, under the chin, jawline and brow area, and tightening the skin on the décolleté. Morpheus8 can be used as a pre-surgical treatment for those not quite ready for a facelift or as a replacement for facelift and neck lift surgery. It can even be used to maintain surgery results after a facelift when recurrent skin laxity develops after some time.
Complementary Procedures to Enhance the Results of a Liquid Facelift
A liquid facelift can be effectively combined with various other cosmetic procedures to enhance and extend its rejuvenating effects. Here are some treatments that can complement a liquid facelift:
Fotona4D
Fotona4D is a laser treatment that works on both the exterior facial and interior oral cavity, offering a full-spectrum facial rejuvenation. It is a series of synergistic, non-invasive laser treatments of both the exterior facial and interior oral cavity, enabling full-thickness contraction of collagen for persistent tightening and volumization without injectables. Combining this with a liquid facelift can lead to more comprehensive anti-ageing results.
SmoothEye
SmoothEye is a non-invasive laser treatment that specifically targets the skin around the eyes. It helps to tighten the skin and reduce the appearance of wrinkles, fine lines, and bags under the eyes. When paired with a liquid facelift, it can enhance the overall rejuvenated look, especially in the delicate eye area.
LipLase
LipLase enhances lip volume and definition without the use of fillers. It is a non-surgical, non-invasive treatment that uses laser energy to stimulate collagen production in the lips, resulting in fuller, more defined lips. This can be an excellent addition to a liquid facelift, especially if you’re looking to enhance your lips along with other facial features.
Laser Resurfacing
Laser resurfacing treatments can improve the texture, tone, and clarity of the skin. By removing the outer layers of damaged skin, this procedure can reduce the appearance of scars, blemishes, and sun damage. When combined with a liquid facelift, it can enhance the overall smoothness and clarity of your facial skin.
Morpheus8
Morpheus8 is a device that combines micro-needling with radiofrequency to achieve fractional resurfacing and subdermal adipose remodelling. It effectively contours and refines the face and can be particularly useful for areas that are difficult to treat with fillers alone. When used in conjunction with a liquid facelift, Morpheus8 can enhance skin tightening and contouring effects.

What is the 8 Point Lift? The 8 Point Lift, often referred to as a Liquid Face Lift, is a cosmetic procedure designed to rejuvenate your appearance, making you look younger. This treatment typically involves a series of three appointments:
First Appointment: Consultation
Your journey begins with a 30-minute consultation with one of our cosmetic doctors at Centre for Surgery. During this initial meeting, we'll conduct a thorough examination of your face and discuss in detail what you hope to achieve with the treatment. This step is crucial to tailor the treatment to your specific needs.
Second Appointment: Treatment Begins
Usually scheduled two weeks after your initial consultation, this session involves the use of dermal fillers. These fillers are strategically applied around the eyes and cheekbones to enhance facial definition and restore volume. Additionally, fillers might be used to augment the fullness and shape of your lips, chin, and nose. Our doctors utilise various injection techniques to ensure results that perfectly align with your expectations.
Third Appointment: Final Adjustments
About six weeks following your second appointment, you'll have your third session. Here, the doctor will assess the results from your previous treatments and make final adjustments as needed. This step is essential to guarantee natural-looking and subtle outcomes, avoiding an overdone appearance. -
What is a non surgical facelift?A non-surgical facelift is a highly effective method of facial rejuvenation, which brings together several treatment modalities to resurface facial skin, tighten areas of skin laxity, remove excess fat, and restore facial volume.
Non-surgical facelift treatment can provide results which make it a very effective alternative to the scars of a traditional surgical facelift, which often carries more risks and downtime. Facial rejuvenation is always customised to the individual patient. Different techniques, such as Morpheus8, have their own advantages, but it is the ability to combine individual treatments to generate dramatic treatment effects.

What is an 8-point lift? The 8 Point Lift, also known as liquid facelift, is a powerful treatment designed to address the ageing face without the need for invasive surgical procedures like a facelift. At the Centre for Surgery, the treatment is designed as a 3-step protocol. The first step involves a face-to-face consultation with an aesthetic practitioner, dermatologist or plastic surgeon. Your practitioner will take a detailed medical history, including any medicines you may be taking, followed by an examination of the face and what can be achieved with an 8-point lift before commencing treatment. After you have had time to reflect on the procedure, the next step involves having the treatment using premium dermal fillers injected into targeted areas of the face. The dermal filler injections will be injected into the cheeks and around the eyes for increased definition and volume. Additional areas may include the chin, lips or temples. Your doctor will use a combination of needle and cannula injection techniques for super precise placement of filler. The final and third step involves attending a follow-up appointment about six weeks later, where treatment effects will be assessed. In some cases, a small fine-tuning may be required to achieve the final desired look by placing a small filler. The overriding aim of treatment is to achieve natural-looking results that give a youthful and refreshed look without looking overfilled from excessive amounts of filler injected.

What is the Difference Between a Liquid Facelift and a Surgical Facelift? The primary difference between a liquid and a surgical facelift lies in the invasiveness and permanence of the procedures. A liquid facelift is a minimally invasive treatment involving the injection of dermal fillers to restore volume, reduce wrinkles, and provide a lifting effect. It requires no general anaesthesia, has minimal downtime, and its results, while long-lasting, are not permanent.
On the other hand, a surgical facelift is a more invasive procedure. It involves incisions, removal or repositioning of facial tissues, and sometimes the removal of excess skin. This type of facelift requires general anaesthesia, involves a longer recovery period, and its results are more permanent. A surgical facelift is typically more suited for addressing more significant signs of ageing and sagging, which cannot be corrected with fillers alone. -
Am I an ideal candidate for a non surgical facelift? The ideal patient for a non-surgical facelift is one who is:
- In good physical and mental health
- Has realistic expectations for that the treatment can achieve
- Are looking for a safe and effective treatment with minimal downtime and are not keen on the idea of a surgical procedure or not yet ready to undergo surgery until later on
- Are in their 30s or 40s with mild to moderate signs of facial aging
- You have had a facelift already and are looking to prolong the results of the procedure -
Does the Treatment Hurt? Our doctors at Centre for Surgery are highly skilled in injectable treatments. Their precision and gentle approach make these treatments almost pain-free, ensuring a comfortable experience for our patients.
-
Which type of practitioner will perform my non surgical facelift? The non-surgical facelift procedure is performed both by our dermatologists and plastic surgeons and also our aesthetic practitioners for selected treatments. A non surgical facelift covers many different possible treatments and the ideal treatment plan will be made after a consultation. Our facial injectable treatments are only performed by fully qualified dermatologists and plastic surgeons as evidence shows that outcomes are better when performed by fully trained consultant specialists.
Fotona 4D treatments are performed by our aesthetic practitioners however laser resurfacing and Morpheus8 treatments are carried out by our dermatologists. Superficial chemical peels and non energy based microneedling are performed by our aesthetic practitioners.
We pride ourselves on being a medical practice first and foremost with an emphasis on ensuring care is delivered by appropriately qualified doctors and aesthetic practitioners for optimal outcomes. -
Where are the common injection areas for a liquid facelift?FOREHEAD
The appearance of horizontal lines and wrinkles on the forehead is most effectively treated with the injection of a neuromodulator to relax the underlying musculature responsible for forming these prominent lines. Over time, the underlying soft tissue support diminishes, leading to reduced skin tautness and, hence, an increased incidence of line and wrinkle formation. In addition, repeated movements of the forehead musculature lead to line and wrinkle formation. The deeper lines and wrinkles of the forehead are often more effectively treated with dermal filler in addition to anti-wrinkle injections.
FROWN LINES (GLABELLAR REGION)
The vertical twin lines in the middle of the forehead between the eyebrows are called the 11s. The glabella muscles include the procerus, corrugator supercilli and a portion of the orbicularis oculi. The muscles of the glabella area give rise to the angry look. If these lines are only observed during dynamic facial movement on assessment, then the correction is most commonly performed with a neuromodulator. In more advanced cases where the lines appear even at rest then dermal fillers will need to be added in to treat the static component of these lines.
BUNNY LINES
Bunny lines refer to the diagonal lines on the side of the nose when The muscles in this region contract. They run from the nose towards the inner part of each eye. Bunny lines are most commonly observed when smiling. The use of a neuromodulator can help to reduce the appearance of these lines by relaxing the underlying musculature and leading to the maintenance of a youthful look.
TEMPLES
Volume loss in the temple region is characterised by Depression and hollowness, giving rise to a sunken look. The temple region comprises several bones of the skull, which are joined together. The temporal region is located on the side of the face close to the lateral aspect of the eyes and between the ears and forehead. The large temporal muscle Covers much of the temple area. The temporal muscle functions as a muscle for chewing or mastication. Hollowed-out temples often develop as part of the ageing process as the skin gradually loses elasticity and tautness and begins to undergo soft tissue descent. Using dermal filler can help fill out the volume loss in the temples and promote a more youthful look.
CHEEKS
As part of the ageing process, the cheeks begin to lose soft tissue volume and undergo deflation, leading to a sunken or gaunt look in the midface area. The muscles in this area include part of the orbicularis muscle, the elevator muscles zygomaticus major and minor, the buccinator muscle and the masseter muscle. Similar to the temple area, the skin begins to lose elasticity due to collagen loss during ageing, and the cheek begins to sag in addition to loss of subcutaneous fat in the cheeks. The use of cheek fillers such as Juvederm Voluma can effectively restore soft tissue volume to the cheeks.
TEAR TROUGHS
Dark circles under the eyes and lower eye hollowness begin to appear as part of the ageing process due to loss of skin elasticity and volume in the tear trough area. The tear troughs develop as collagen and elastin are gradually lost, leading to thinner skin in this area. The result is a soft tissue depression between the upper cheeks and the lower eyelid. Tear trough correction is very effectively performed with dermal filler, of which Juvederm Volbella is the most popular product.
CROW’S FEET
The outer and lower aspects of the eyes are the most common areas for the development of crow's feet, also known as lateral canthal lines. These fine lines and wrinkles often become more prominent with time. Treating crow's feet wrinkles is one of the most common reasons younger patients have wrinkle-relaxing injections. The movement of the orbicularis oculi muscle leads to the formation of facial expressions in the upper part of the face. These repeated facial expressions give rise to crow's feet on the outer part of the eyes over time. The zygomaticus muscle is also a cause of the formation of crows' feet with repeated and continuous facial movements over time. When people frown, smile or squint, it is possible to see the appearance of crow's feet in the outer aspect of the skin adjacent to the eyes. The injection of wrinkle-relaxing injections prevents the contraction of the orbicular and zygomaticus muscles, hence reducing the formation of overlying lines and wrinkles in the crow's feet area.
BROW DROOP OR “BROW PTOSIS”
The upper facial muscles attenuate or weaken as part of the ageing process. This can lead to descent or drooping of the lateral aspect of the eyebrows, which often leads to the eyes having a tired-looking appearance. The primary muscle for raising the eyebrows is the frontalis muscle, in addition to the overlying forehead skin. As part of the ageing process, the frontalis muscle weakens, and the outer aspect of the brow begins to droop. This can give rise to a sad-looking appearance. The targeted injection of anti-wrinkle injections can create a nonsurgical brow lift without requiring a more invasive surgical eyebrow lift.
NASOLABIAL FOLDS
The nose-to-mouth lines, also known as the nasolabial folds, are the lines that run from the corners of the mouth to the side of the nose on both sides of the face. The Nasolabial folds become more prominent with age. The levator muscles and the muscles responsible for elevating the lips contribute to forming the nasolabial lines. The repeated contraction of these muscles gradually leads to the development of the nasolabial crease with associated loss of volume in the face. Volume loss in the cheeks can also contribute to prominent nasolabial folds. Prominent nasolabial folds can be effectively treated with Juvederm dermal filler.
MARIONETTE LINES
The marionette lines are the fine lines that extend outwards and downwards from the corners of the mouth and often as far as the chin. The marionette lines, in common with the nasolabial folds, can become more prominent with age. The influence of gravity and loss of collagen and elastin in the skin leads to the sagging of the facial tissues. The influence of the depressor anguli oris muscle (DAO) Accentuates the appearance of the marionette lines. Patients often have a sad-looking expression at rest. Marionette lines can be expertly corrected with dermal filler. Juvederm Ultra is the most popular filler for marionette lines.
JOWLS
Ageing affecting the lower part of the face can result in the development of jowls. The facial jowls refer to the prominent drooping area at the lower aspect of the cheeks. Jowling most commonly forms when the facial muscles weaken as part of ageing. Therefore, the remaining facial volume in the face is more likely to descend more easily under the influence of gravity, leading to a heavy appearance in the lower part of the face. The loss of skin elasticity due to collagen and elastin also contributes to the appearance of jowls.
LIPS (BORDER AND VOLUME)
The lips are a prominent feature of the face and gradually lose volume with age. Perioral lines and wrinkles also begin to develop around the lip area. The lips lose their bulk as less collagen and elastin are produced with age, leading to the formation of thin lips with an associated loss of definition and shape. Juvederm Ultra is the ideal dermal filler for patients looking to enhance volume in the lips. Enhancing definition and shape is also well achieved with Juvederm Volbella for those seeking a more subtle correction.
CHIN (MENTAL CREASE)
The shape and size of the chin change as part of the ageing process. The chin often begins to shrink in size and may develop recession as the overlying skin loses its elasticity. The chin may also be subject to the effects of gravity from facial muscle weakening. Loss of skin elasticity is a fundamental part of the ageing process and may lead to excess skin in the chin and jawline area. Juvederm Voluma is an excellent dermal filler for non-surgical chin augmentation.
JAWLINE
The jawline gradually loses its definition as the skin loses elasticity in keeping with the rest of the face, leading to an ill-defined jawline. This loss of definition in the lower part of the face and along the jawline can be effectively corrected with dermal filler. Juvederm Voluma or Juvederm Volux is the best dermal filler for jawline contouring. -
Is a non-surgical facelift safe?Non-surgical facelift or 8 Point Lift, is a very safe treatment using dermal fillers. Potential side effects are minimal when treatment is carried out in expert hands and include mild and short-lived bruising, swelling and a degree of asymmetry.
Compared with an invasive surgical procedure, the vast majority of significant side effects, risks and potential complications are eliminated when you choose to undergo a non-surgical facelift at Centre for Surgery in London. -
When will the results develop after a non surgical facelift? For certain treatments, the results will be immediately noticeable although it may not be until 6-8 weeks for final results to become apparent after any swelling subsides. Radio frequency skin tightening treatments may take 3-6 months for results to fully develop due to ongoing production of collagen and elastin. 3 months is usually a general timeframe for results to develop from a non surgical facelift.
-
How long do the results of a non surgical facelift last? The results from a non surgical facelift can last many years depend on the type of treatment undertaken. Non surgical procedures such as injectables and laser treatments generally need to be undertaken regularly to maintain the results. The frequency of treatment will determined by your doctor after a clinical assessment and they will be able to recommend how many treatments are necessary to achieve a desired effect. Most patients will often notice when treatment effects are beginning to subside and this will often trigger a follow up visit.
When non surgical facelift treatment is commenced when patients are in their 30s and before signs of significant ageing develop, it is often possible to formulate a highly effective maintenance regime to slow down the signs of ageing which means that often less invasive treatments are required to maintain a youthful look when patients reach their 50s.
Non surgical facelifts should be viewed as a short term solution to addressing signs of ageing and often a highly effective complement to more invasive surgical treatments such as a facelift procedure where the results can last for over 10 years. -
How Can I Maintain the Results of a Liquid Facelift?Maintaining the results of your liquid facelift is key to enjoying its benefits for as long as possible. The longevity of the results depends largely on how you care for your skin post-treatment. To prolong the effects, it's crucial to follow a good skincare routine, which includes using sunscreen daily to protect against UV damage, maintaining a healthy lifestyle, and staying hydrated. Regular follow-up treatments are also recommended to refresh the results. These typically occur every 6-9 months, depending on individual factors such as skin type and lifestyle. Additionally, avoiding smoking and excessive alcohol consumption, which can accelerate the ageing process, is advised.
-
Is a non-surgical facelift painful?Facial injection treatments including anti wrinkle injections and dermal fillers are non invasive methods for performing a non surgical facelift as there are no incisions, scars or downtime required. The treatment is very well tolerated with only tiny needle pricks felt as mild pricking sensation and this can be reduced by applying topical local anaesthetic cream beforehand.
Other techniques including microneedling, laser resurfacing and Morpheus8 are treatments which involve little discomfort if any. Your practitioner may offer you an oral sedative tablet if you are feeling anxious along with topical local anaesthetic cream for highly effective pain relief. -
Do I need to take time off after having a non-surgical facelift? No, in the vast majority of cases there is little if any downtime and most patients can return to their normal activities after the treatment is completed.
It is normal and common to experience some mild bruising and swelling in the areas of treatment particularly in the cheek area but this can be easily concealed with makeup. -
Is a Liquid Facelift Reversible? One of the advantages of a liquid facelift is its reversibility. Unlike a surgical facelift, the changes made during a liquid facelift are not permanent. The fillers used in the procedure are made from substances that can be naturally absorbed by the body over time. Furthermore, if desired, certain types of fillers can be dissolved more rapidly with specific enzyme injections. This aspect of reversibility provides an extra layer of comfort and control, allowing adjustments or reversals if the results aren't as expected or if you change your mind about the treatment.
