Aesthetics Awards finalist, 2025 and 2026

The Aesthetics Awards ↗ are run by the publishers of Aesthetics journal and describe themselves as the longest-standing awards ceremony in UK medical aesthetics. The 2026 awards drew more than 450 entries, and 850 guests attended the ceremony. Entries are shortlisted to a list of finalists, and the winners are decided by judging and voting.

Centre for Surgery was a finalist in 2025 and again in 2026. Reaching the final two years running matters to us more than a single night: it means our work held up to outside scrutiny in consecutive years.

Best Clinic London, finalist 2026

In 2026 we were one of the finalists for Best Clinic London, the category for clinics in the capital. The ceremony was held at the Hilton Park Lane on 14 March 2026. For us, the category covers everything that happens in our Baker Street hospital, from the first consultation to the final review.

Highly Commended: Best Surgical Result

Dr Michail Vourvachis, one of our specialist plastic surgeons, was Highly Commended in the SkinadeMD Surgical Programme Award for Best Surgical Result at the 2026 Aesthetics Awards. Dr Vourvachis carries out body and facial surgery at Centre for Surgery, including VASER liposuction, BodyTite and facial fat transfer.

WhatClinic Patient Service Award 2026

WhatClinic ↗ is an independent website where patients search for clinics, contact them and leave reviews. Its awards, which have run since 2010, are not based on entries or on a panel’s opinion. They are based on WhatClinic’s own ServiceScore, which measures how clinics treat the people who contact them: how many enquiries they answer, how quickly they pick up the phone, how calls are rated, how complete their information is and what patients say in their reviews.

The score uses up to twelve months of data, so a clinic has to keep it up for a full year, and only around the top 5% of clinics in each market qualify. Paying for a premium listing makes no difference. We received the Patient Service Award in 2026, and WhatClinic service awards in 2019, 2020 and 2023 (you can see our 2019 award certificate). You can read our verified WhatClinic reviews ↗.

This award belongs to the people patients speak to first: the patient coordinators who answer your call, reply to your message and book your consultation. You can read what patients say about them in our patient reviews.

International Hospital Federation (IHF) Awards: finalist 2022

The IHF Awards ↗ are run by the International Hospital Federation, the global association of hospitals and healthcare organisations. They recognise hospital projects and programmes in categories including clinical quality and patient safety, and entries are scored by a panel of experienced healthcare leaders on their impact, innovation and scientific rigour. Entries must be endorsed by the hospital’s chief executive or chair.

Centre for Surgery was shortlisted as a finalist in the 2022 IHF Awards, which drew more than 400 entries from 35 countries and territories, with the winners announced at the 45th World Hospital Congress in Dubai. We entered again in 2026, alongside more than 750 entries from 38 countries and territories. For a single-site hospital in Marylebone, it means putting the way we work in front of an international panel and measuring it against hospitals around the world.

Awards are only part of the picture

An award tells you that an outside organisation looked at a clinic and liked what it saw. It does not replace the checks that every patient should make before surgery, and we would encourage you to make them with us as with anyone else:

  • Regulation. We are a hospital regulated by the Care Quality Commission and rated Good overall by the CQC.
  • Your surgeon. Check that your surgeon is on the GMC register, and on the Specialist Register for plastic surgery where that matters to you. Our guide to choosing a plastic surgeon shows you how, and you can meet our team.
  • Outcomes. We publish our infection, revision and complaint figures each year in our clinical outcomes and patient safety report, and our data is also published independently by PHIN ↗.
  • Honest information. Our patient articles are medically reviewed, as our editorial policy explains, and every consultation covers the option not to have treatment.

Whether you are considering cosmetic surgery or a skin or aesthetic treatment, the best way to judge us is to come and meet us. Request a consultation and our patient coordinators will find you the next available appointment.

What our awards reflect

Patient service

The WhatClinic awards are earned by the people who answer your call, reply to your message and book your appointment, measured over a whole year.

Surgical results

A Highly Commended result reflects the skill of our specialist plastic surgeons and the care that goes into planning every operation.

Safety first

We are a CQC-regulated hospital, rated Good overall, with GMC-registered surgeons and day-case surgery under local anaesthetic or TIVA.

Openness

We publish our infection, revision and complaint figures every year, so you can judge us on our record as well as our awards.

Centre for Surgery Patient Reviews

  • It took me years and years and many consultations later to finally find the perfect place, and CFS was definitely that place for me. From my initial enquiry I felt completely comfortable. My patient coordinator Carla is one in a million.

Geri Google review · March 2026
  • I liked that my consultation was at the operating clinic and that I knew where I would be going for surgery, it took some of the fear away. […] I liked that my follow ups were with the same nurses that looked after me on the day of my procedure […]

    Charlie G. Rhinoplasty · Google review · May 2024
  • When I had more questions later on, I was able to book another consultation without any issues, which gave me even more confidence that I was in the best hands.

    Kat S. Google review · June 2026
  • The aftercare nurse that was working looked after me very well and made sure I wasn’t [in] any discomfort. They made sure my wife was ok upstairs as well, which was very important to me.

Jimi S. Gynecomastia surgery · Google review · February 2026
  • The nursing team at the Centre for Surgery provides an outstanding standard of care. From the pre-assessment to the post-operative follow-ups, they demonstrated absolute professionalism, clinical expertise, and deep knowledge.

    Tiffany F. Google review · July 2026
  • Nikesh, the Senior Patient Coordinator, was approachable, knowledgeable and never made me feel pressured. […] Since then, the aftercare has been outstanding. The nursing team checked in with me every couple of days during my first week of recovery to see how I was healing, answer any questions and ensure everything was progressing as expected.

    Delcina Y. Google review · July 2026
  • Ida carefully explained beforehand what the treatment would involve, the time it would take me to heal and what I could expect during my recovery. I appreciated the follow up from her to check on my progress.

David W. Laser skin treatment · Google review · June 2025
  • The nursing team, Patricia, Sowmya and Alejandra were very attentive and warm throughout my entire stay. I’ve had follow-up phone calls and I’ve also contacted them on a few occasions; I’m always treated to a high standard, and everything gets sorted promptly.

    Deb S. Google review · May 2026
  • Having now experienced both the original procedure and the follow-up care, what has impressed me most is the standard of care throughout the entire process rather than just on the day of surgery.

Awards and accolades: common questions

Has Centre for Surgery won any awards?

Yes. We received the WhatClinic Patient Service Award in 2026, and WhatClinic service awards in 2019, 2020 and 2023. We were Aesthetics Awards finalists in 2025 and 2026, for Best Clinic London in 2026, when Dr Michail Vourvachis was also Highly Commended for Best Surgical Result. We were finalists in the International Hospital Federation Awards in 2022.

What are the Aesthetics Awards?

The Aesthetics Awards are annual UK awards for medical aesthetics, run by the publishers of Aesthetics journal. Entries are shortlisted to finalists, and winners are decided by judging and voting at a ceremony in London each March. You can read more on the Aesthetics Awards website ↗.

How are the WhatClinic awards decided?

WhatClinic awards are based on data rather than entries. Its ServiceScore measures how clinics answer enquiries, pick up and handle calls, keep their information complete and are reviewed by patients, over up to twelve months. Only around the top 5% of clinics in each market qualify, and paid listings get no special treatment. See how WhatClinic chooses its winners ↗.

What are the IHF Awards?

The IHF Awards are run by the International Hospital Federation and recognise projects in hospitals and healthcare organisations worldwide, in categories such as clinical quality and patient safety. Entries are scored by a panel of international healthcare leaders. Centre for Surgery was a finalist in 2022 and entered again in 2026.

Does an award mean a clinic is safe?

Not on its own. Awards are a useful sign of how others see a clinic, but before any treatment you should check the clinic’s CQC rating, your surgeon’s GMC registration and the clinic’s published outcomes. Ours are on our CQC rating page and in our clinical outcomes report, and our guide to choosing a plastic surgeon shows you what to look for.
