Skin Tightening Treatments in London

Whether your skin has lost firmness on the face, eyelids, neck or body, the right treatment depends on how loose the skin is, how deep the change needs to go and how much downtime you can take, from Fotona 4D laser and Morpheus8 to FaceTite and BodyTite.

FaceTite

FaceTite tightens loose skin along the jawline, jowls and neck from beneath, using radiofrequency through a tiny entry point under local anaesthetic. Choose it if you have mild to moderate sagging but are not ready for a facelift; the lift is smaller than surgery gives.

BodyTite

BodyTite removes fat and tightens the skin over it in one treatment, using radiofrequency through small entry points on the tummy, flanks, arms or thighs. Choose it if you have stubborn fat with mild skin looseness; a large overhang needs surgery such as a tummy tuck.

Types of Skin Tightening Treatment

Skin tightening works in one of two ways: heating the skin from the surface to build new collagen, or delivering energy beneath the skin to contract the deeper layer that holds it in place. Which suits you depends on what has changed and where:

  • Fine lines and early loss of firmness on the face: Fotona 4D, a laser treatment with no downtime, or Morpheus8 radiofrequency microneedling, which also improves texture and acne scars.
  • Crepey eyelids and crow’s feet: SmoothEye eyelid laser treatment.
  • Thin or poorly defined lips: LipLase, which builds your own collagen instead of adding filler.
  • A sagging jawline, jowls or neck: FaceTite, which tightens from beneath through a tiny entry point under local anaesthetic.
  • Stubborn fat with loose skin on the body: BodyTite, which removes fat and tightens the skin in one treatment, or TightSculpting laser for smaller areas with no downtime.
  • Loose skin after liposuction or weight loss: Argo Plasma skin tightening, on its own or alongside liposuction.
  • Cellulite dimples: CelluTite, which releases the bands that cause dimpling and firms the skin in the same session.

Does Skin Tightening Work?

Yes, for the right degree of looseness. Energy-based treatments build collagen gradually, so results develop over two to six months and are subtler than surgery. They work best for mild to moderate laxity. Where skin hangs in folds, a facelift, neck lift or tummy tuck removes it, and we will tell you at consultation if surgery is the more effective answer.

How Long Does Skin Tightening Last?

Most results last from one to several years, depending on the treatment, your age and how your skin continues to age. Laser and microneedling treatments are usually given as a course and topped up once a year, while FaceTite, BodyTite and Argo Plasma tend to last longer because they work on the deeper layer. Sun protection and a stable weight help results last.

Skin Tightening or Laser Resurfacing?

Skin tightening firms the skin. Where the problem is the surface itself, such as deeper wrinkles, sun damage or acne scarring, laser resurfacing removes a fine layer of skin and makes a bigger change, with a few days to two weeks of recovery. The two are often combined; see our skin and scar treatments.

Choosing a Skin Tightening Clinic in London

Treatments take place at our Baker Street hospital, rated Good overall by the Care Quality Commission. Because the same team also offers surgery, you are recommended the treatment that suits your skin rather than the one a clinic happens to own. Centre for Surgery Patient Reviews

  • It took me years and years and many consultations later to finally find the perfect place, and CFS was definitely that place for me. From my initial enquiry I felt completely comfortable. My patient coordinator Carla is one in a million.

Geri Google review · March 2026
  • I liked that my consultation was at the operating clinic and that I knew where I would be going for surgery, it took some of the fear away. […] I liked that my follow ups were with the same nurses that looked after me on the day of my procedure […]

    Charlie G. Rhinoplasty · Google review · May 2024
  • When I had more questions later on, I was able to book another consultation without any issues, which gave me even more confidence that I was in the best hands.

    Kat S. Google review · June 2026
  • The aftercare nurse that was working looked after me very well and made sure I wasn’t [in] any discomfort. They made sure my wife was ok upstairs as well, which was very important to me.

Jimi S. Gynecomastia surgery · Google review · February 2026
  • The nursing team at the Centre for Surgery provides an outstanding standard of care. From the pre-assessment to the post-operative follow-ups, they demonstrated absolute professionalism, clinical expertise, and deep knowledge.

    Tiffany F. Google review · July 2026
  • Nikesh, the Senior Patient Coordinator, was approachable, knowledgeable and never made me feel pressured. […] Since then, the aftercare has been outstanding. The nursing team checked in with me every couple of days during my first week of recovery to see how I was healing, answer any questions and ensure everything was progressing as expected.

    Delcina Y. Google review · July 2026
  • Ida carefully explained beforehand what the treatment would involve, the time it would take me to heal and what I could expect during my recovery. I appreciated the follow up from her to check on my progress.

David W. Laser skin treatment · Google review · June 2025
  • The nursing team, Patricia, Sowmya and Alejandra were very attentive and warm throughout my entire stay. I’ve had follow-up phone calls and I’ve also contacted them on a few occasions; I’m always treated to a high standard, and everything gets sorted promptly.

    Deb S. Google review · May 2026
  • Having now experienced both the original procedure and the follow-up care, what has impressed me most is the standard of care throughout the entire process rather than just on the day of surgery.
