Morpheus8 is used commonly on the face and neck and many of our patients are extremely satisfied with the results of their Morpheus8 treatment. Morpheus8 can now be used to treat larger body areas and has been proven to be incredibly effective for the treatment of skin laxity, scars, stretch marks and cellulite. Many well-known celebrities including Kim Kardashian have used Morpheus8 body to treat loose skin on the abdomen without the need for surgery.
What is Morpheus8 Body?
Morpheus8 technology involves combining microneedling with the application of radio frequency (RF) thermal energy for the treatment of a large range of skin conditions on both the face and body.
The effectiveness of Morpheus8 technology to treat skin concerns over large areas of the body is due to the ability of the Morpheus8 body treatment to extend much deeper than less effective types of microneedling devices. Morpheus8 body can sculpt and contour both the superficial skin and the underlying deeper soft tissues without damaging the epidermal layer of the skin as with traditional laser resurfacing.
Combining microneedling with radio-frequency technology means any areas of loose skin can be tightened and superficial areas of stubborn fat can be reduced without the need for liposuction. The microneedling component helps to kickstart the body’s production of collagen and elastin leading to further smoother and more youthful-looking skin.
The treatment is so effective that we now use Morpheus8 body as one of our non-invasive treatments for cellulite. Morpheus8 body improves the appearance of cellulite by tightening the skin and getting rid of superficial areas of fat simultaneously with an increase in collagen and elastin production. The bumpy appearance of cellulite skin can be smoothed out and is most effective when combined with CelluTite treatment.
Morpheus8 body can be used to treat a wide variety of different body areas including the upper arms, bra rolls, thighs, knees, buttocks, abdomen and flanks.
Can Morpheus8 Body be combined with surgery?
As well as being used by our aesthetic practitioners for a non-surgical approach to treating skin concerns, our plastic surgeons also routinely combine the use of Morpheus8 body with liposuction and tummy tuck procedures. Combining Morpheus8 body with excess skin removal means many surgical procedures become minimally invasive. Very often, full tummy tucks can be converted to mini tummy tucks when combined with Morpheus8 body.
Patients can also choose to have Morpheus eight body treatment before or after the cosmetic surgery procedure to enhance their liposuction or tummy tuck results. In this case, treatment will be carried out at our 106 Crawford Street clinic.
How long does it take to recover after Morpheus8 Body?
Potential downtime after having Morpheus8 body depends on whether the treatment is carried out on its own as a non-invasive procedure or whether it is combined with body contouring surgery.
If you plan to have Morpheus8 body as a standalone treatment, we would recommend avoiding strenuous activities for the first two days after treatment. It is common to have a mild degree of swelling, bruising or redness at the side of treatment. You may also notice pinpoint areas of bleeding or slightly raised red-coloured bumps during treatment involving the microneedling part. These side-effects are temporary and will settle completely after 24 to 48 hours.
Patients who choose to combine Morpheus8 body with liposuction or tummy tuck should be aware the downtime will be longer due to the recovery process related to your surgery. The longer period of recovery is not related to having the Morpheus8 body treatment.
When can I see results from having the Morpheus8 Body treatment?
Patients can expect to see a significant improvement in skin quality immediately following the Morpheus8 body treatment. further improvements in the quality of the skin will be noticed over the next four weeks. To get the best Morpheus8 results, we would recommend having three treatments spaced approximately six weeks apart. The beauty of having Morpheus8 treatment is that you can expect to see further improvement in your results over the first 3 to 6 months as the production of collagen and elastin is stimulated. For best results and to maintain the appearance of smooth and tight-looking skin, we would recommend having Morpheus8 body carried out once a year.
How much does Morpheus8 Body cost?
For best results, we would recommend having three treatments of Morpheus8 Body spread 6 weeks apart. We would then recommend having once-yearly maintenance treatments to maintain your results for the long term.
Morpheus8 Body costs £1100 for one treatment with a course of 3 treatments costing £3000.
