Are you concerned about the rolls of back fat that appear around and under your bra line? Do you want your bra to sit right and feel more comfortable? Do you feel self-conscious or uncomfortable wearing tight-fitting or revealing clothing? You may wish to consider undergoing bra roll liposuction.
Bra roll liposuction involves the use of liposuction to remove excess fat under and around the bra line. There are numerous different types of bra rolls. This includes the roll that starts under the arm and spreads across the shoulder. There is also the roll that is below the bra. These areas of excess fat are often very difficult to get rid of simply by eating healthy or following an exercise regime.
Those who are considered good candidates for bra roll liposuction include those who:
It is important to note that bra roll liposuction is not considered an alternative to weight loss and healthy eating. Instead, it is a good addition to your regime. You will not lose a significant amount of weight with bra roll liposuction, however, you may notice your bra size may decrease as a result of the fat removal.
Bra roll liposuction will be performed under Centre for Surgery’s anaesthetic known as ClearSleep™. This anaesthetic means you will be asleep during the procedure, however, unlike other types of general anaesthetic, you will not need to rely on any breathing machines and no breathing tubes will be used. You will also wake up quicker following the procedure and have a better sense of wellness.
Bra roll liposuction involves using liposuction to remove excess fat from the bra line areas. At Centre for Surgery, we use the ClearLipo™ technique. This is far safer than older liposuction techniques and does not involve the use of heat to remove fat cells. ClearLipo™ ensures you get the results you want, without damaging your body internally or having any of the tell-tale signs of liposuction, such as rippling skin.
To complete the procedure, the surgeon will make a small incision. Next, an incision will be made and cannulas will be used to create fat tunnels for a local anaesthetic. The cannulas will also separate the fat globules, which lowers the risk of the stromal network and the blood vessels being damaged – meaning there is less bruising and bleeding. Smaller cannulas are then used to remove the fat cells. Finally, the remaining fat is sculpted so the patient has the best possible, natural-looking results. You will avoid any skin irregularities or bumps that often occur with other liposuction methods. The incision site is then shut and sutured.
After bra roll liposuction it is normal to experience some pain and discomfort, particularly around the incision site. Your surgeon will provide you with appropriate pain medication to take to alleviate symptoms.
You may also experience some bruising and swelling, which should go away after about 10 days. You will be given a compression garment to wear, which will help with speeding up the recovery period and reducing the bruising and swelling.
You will have to avoid strenuous exercise for six weeks, however, you can resume mild exercise after about two weeks.
