Both photos should be taken from the same angle and distance. Tilting the chin or turning the head changes how the nose, jaw and neck look.
Brighter or softer light hides skin texture and shadow. Compare photos taken in similar light against the same background.
A smile, a clenched jaw or a change in stance alters the result you see, so expression and posture should match.
Swelling settles over months. A photo taken a few weeks after surgery shows a result that is still changing.
Retouching, filters and make-up can flatter a result. If you are unsure, ask the surgeon how the photos were taken.
Results depend on your starting point, skin and healing, so look for patients whose anatomy is close to yours.
Your consultation is with a surgeon who examines you and talks through what is realistic for your anatomy.
Meet your surgeon at Baker Street to talk through your goals and what is realistic for your anatomy. The consultation fee is £100 and is deducted from your procedure if you go ahead.
Your surgeon explains the technique they recommend, the recovery and the result you can expect, and you receive a written quote.
At least two weeks pass between your consultation and surgery, so you can make your decision without pressure.
Your surgical and nursing team review your healing at planned follow-up appointments while your result settles over the following months.
Photos show the result. Reviews tell you what the care was like, from the first consultation to the final follow-up at our Baker Street hospital.
Every procedure has its own cost guide setting out what the quote covers. You can pay in full or spread the cost with finance through Chrysalis Finance, subject to status. M Sarwar Limited, trading as Centre for Surgery, is a credit broker, not a lender.
What our patients say
Selected Google reviews, quoted word for word; […] marks where a review has been shortened. Individual experiences — results vary.
Yes. Every photo in our galleries is of a Centre for Surgery patient who agreed to share their photographs. Some faces are covered, blurred or cropped to protect patients’ privacy.
It varies by procedure and by patient. Swelling settles over weeks to months, and the final result of operations such as rhinoplasty or a facelift can take a year or more to show fully. When you compare photos, check how long after surgery the after photo was taken, because an early photo shows a result that is still settling.
Look for the same angle, lighting, background and expression in both photos. Changes in skin texture, make-up, posture or camera distance can exaggerate a result. If you are unsure, ask the surgeon how and when the photos were taken.
No two patients are alike. Your result depends on your anatomy, skin quality, healing and the procedure you have. The photos show what has been achieved for other patients, and at your consultation your surgeon will explain what is realistic for you.
It depends on the procedure. Changes to the nose in rhinoplasty and to the ears in otoplasty are long-lasting. Fat cells removed by liposuction do not grow back, although the fat that remains can increase if you gain weight. Breast implants are not lifetime devices, and every result continues to age with you.
Yes. A facelift lifts and repositions the tissues of the face and neck, but natural ageing continues afterwards, so the result softens over the years. See our facelift before and after photos.
To protect patients’ privacy. Some patients agree to share their results only if their eyes or face are covered, and photos of intimate areas are cropped to the treated area.
