The Aesthetics Awards ↗ are run by the publishers of Aesthetics journal and describe themselves as the longest-standing awards ceremony in UK medical aesthetics. The 2026 awards drew more than 450 entries, and 850 guests attended the ceremony. Entries are shortlisted to a list of finalists, and the winners are decided by judging and voting.
Centre for Surgery was a finalist in 2025 and again in 2026. Reaching the final two years running matters to us more than a single night: it means our work held up to outside scrutiny in consecutive years.
In 2026 we were one of the finalists for Best Clinic London, the category for clinics in the capital. The ceremony was held at the Hilton Park Lane on 14 March 2026. For us, the category covers everything that happens in our Baker Street hospital, from the first consultation to the final review.
Dr Michail Vourvachis, one of our specialist plastic surgeons, was Highly Commended in the SkinadeMD Surgical Programme Award for Best Surgical Result at the 2026 Aesthetics Awards. Dr Vourvachis carries out body and facial surgery at Centre for Surgery, including VASER liposuction, BodyTite and facial fat transfer.
Every result is different, and an award for one patient’s result is not a promise about yours. Your surgeon talks you through what is realistic for you at consultation, and you can see results from our own patients in our before and after gallery.
WhatClinic ↗ is an independent website where patients search for clinics, contact them and leave reviews. Its awards, which have run since 2010, are not based on entries or on a panel’s opinion. They are based on WhatClinic’s own ServiceScore, which measures how clinics treat the people who contact them: how many enquiries they answer, how quickly they pick up the phone, how calls are rated, how complete their information is and what patients say in their reviews.
The score uses up to twelve months of data, so a clinic has to keep it up for a full year, and only around the top 5% of clinics in each market qualify. Paying for a premium listing makes no difference. We received the Patient Service Award in 2026, and WhatClinic service awards in 2019, 2020 and 2023 (you can see our 2019 award certificate). You can read our verified WhatClinic reviews ↗.
This award belongs to the people patients speak to first: the patient coordinators who answer your call, reply to your message and book your consultation. You can read what patients say about them in our patient reviews.
The IHF Awards ↗ are run by the International Hospital Federation, the global association of hospitals and healthcare organisations. They recognise hospital projects and programmes in categories including clinical quality and patient safety, and entries are scored by a panel of experienced healthcare leaders on their impact, innovation and scientific rigour. Entries must be endorsed by the hospital’s chief executive or chair.
Centre for Surgery was shortlisted as a finalist in the 2022 IHF Awards, which drew more than 400 entries from 35 countries and territories, with the winners announced at the 45th World Hospital Congress in Dubai. We entered again in 2026, alongside more than 750 entries from 38 countries and territories. For a single-site hospital in Marylebone, it means putting the way we work in front of an international panel and measuring it against hospitals around the world.
An award tells you that an outside organisation looked at a clinic and liked what it saw. It does not replace the checks that every patient should make before surgery, and we would encourage you to make them with us as with anyone else:
Whether you are considering cosmetic surgery or a skin or aesthetic treatment, the best way to judge us is to come and meet us. Request a consultation and our patient coordinators will find you the next available appointment.
The WhatClinic awards are earned by the people who answer your call, reply to your message and book your appointment, measured over a whole year.
A Highly Commended result reflects the skill of our specialist plastic surgeons and the care that goes into planning every operation.
We are a CQC-regulated hospital, rated Good overall, with GMC-registered surgeons and day-case surgery under local anaesthetic or TIVA.
We publish our infection, revision and complaint figures every year, so you can judge us on our record as well as our awards.

What our patients say

Yes. We received the WhatClinic Patient Service Award in 2026, and WhatClinic service awards in 2019, 2020 and 2023. We were Aesthetics Awards finalists in 2025 and 2026, for Best Clinic London in 2026, when Dr Michail Vourvachis was also Highly Commended for Best Surgical Result. We were finalists in the International Hospital Federation Awards in 2022.
The Aesthetics Awards are annual UK awards for medical aesthetics, run by the publishers of Aesthetics journal. Entries are shortlisted to finalists, and winners are decided by judging and voting at a ceremony in London each March. You can read more on the Aesthetics Awards website ↗.
WhatClinic awards are based on data rather than entries. Its ServiceScore measures how clinics answer enquiries, pick up and handle calls, keep their information complete and are reviewed by patients, over up to twelve months. Only around the top 5% of clinics in each market qualify, and paid listings get no special treatment. See how WhatClinic chooses its winners ↗.
The IHF Awards are run by the International Hospital Federation and recognise projects in hospitals and healthcare organisations worldwide, in categories such as clinical quality and patient safety. Entries are scored by a panel of international healthcare leaders. Centre for Surgery was a finalist in 2022 and entered again in 2026.
Not on its own. Awards are a useful sign of how others see a clinic, but before any treatment you should check the clinic’s CQC rating, your surgeon’s GMC registration and the clinic’s published outcomes. Ours are on our CQC rating page and in our clinical outcomes report, and our guide to choosing a plastic surgeon shows you what to look for.
