Cosmetic gynaecology, also called female genital cosmetic surgery, treats three areas: the outer structures (the labia and clitoral hood), the vaginal canal, and the perineum between the vagina and anus. In the UK, cosmetic gynaecology can legally be performed by doctors without specialist training in the area. Here, labial and clitoral hood surgery is performed by GMC-registered consultant plastic surgeons, and vaginoplasty and perineoplasty by Mr Joe Daniels, Consultant Gynaecological Surgeon. The surgeon who assesses you at consultation is the surgeon who operates. Most labial surgery is carried out under local anaesthetic with sedation and vaginoplasty under TIVA, at our Baker Street hospital, rated Good overall by the Care Quality Commission.

Labiaplasty revision corrects labia left uneven, scarred, or with too much or too little removed by an earlier operation. Choose it if you are unhappy once healed, knowing heavy tissue loss cannot always be rebuilt.
Labia fat transfer refills thin, deflated outer labia with fat moved from your tummy or thighs, much of which settles in long term. Choose it if you want a longer-lasting result than filler.
Labia puffing plumps the outer labia with either filler or your own fat, restoring a fuller, smoother look. Choose it to compare a quick filler treatment with longer-lasting fat before deciding.
Vaginoplasty tightens a vagina that feels loose after childbirth, rebuilding the muscle beneath its back wall. Choose it for a lasting change where pelvic floor exercises or laser have not been enough.
Perineoplasty rebuilds the strip of tissue below the vaginal opening, removing tight or uneven scarring and restoring support. Choose it if a birth injury left the opening gaping, painful during sex or scarred.
