What to expect during Morpheus8 Face treatment?
Morpheus 8 Face treatment takes between 30 minutes and 90 minutes to perform depending on whether you have a partial face or full face and neck treatment. Your specialist practitioner will first apply a topical local anaesthetic cream to the treatment areas to make the procedure as comfortable as possible. In some cases, local anaesthetic may be injected as part of a nerve block if a deeper and more intense treatment is planned.
Treatment will then commence with the specialised Morpheus8 applicator applied to the skin to deliver precise RF energy using tiny micro-holes produced by the micro needles. Morpheus8 face is a depth adjustable treatment which means that certain areas of the skin can be treated with deeper penetration. Areas with bony prominences such as the forehead may require a more superficial application of microneedling. Treatment is always tailored to the individual patient and skin concern.
Once the Morpheus8 face treatment is complete, it is normal to have tiny pinpoint areas of bleeding from the microneedling. Your face may also appear initially red with a mild amount of swelling or bruising. There may be areas of red-coloured small bumps where Morpheus8 face was applied. These are all temporary side effects which should settle over the first 24 to 48 hours after treatment.
The healing time after Morpheus8 Face is very quick with little or no downtime. Having said that, we would avoid having the treatment prior to a major event such as a wedding for a minimum of three days after your treatment. You should also avoid excessive sun exposure and wear a broad-spectrum sunscreen of at least SPF 50.
Results of Morpheus8 face will become visible after 3 to 5 days of the treatment. The best results after Morpheus8 will be visible after completing your course of three treatments.
