Often. A facelift is usually combined with a neck lift, because the jowls and neck age together, and adding facial fat transfer restores the volume that a lift alone cannot. Facelifts are frequently paired with eyelid or brow surgery, and chin augmentation with rhinoplasty, because the chin and nose are judged together in profile; our guide to the perfect side profile explains why. Combining avoids a second anaesthetic and recovery, but longer operations carry more risk, so your surgeon will advise whether one stage or two is safer.

A facelift restores the lower face, tightening the deeper tissues under the cheeks, jowls and jawline, and is usually done alongside a neck lift. Choose it when ageing has gone beyond early changes.
An endoscopic facelift lifts the cheeks and middle of the face through small cuts hidden in the hair, rather than lifting the jawline. Choose it if ageing shows first in your cheeks.
The deep plane facelift releases the ligaments that anchor the cheeks and jowls, so the tissue moves as one unit. Often suggested for heavier faces, thicker skin and some revision cases.
A mini facelift tackles the first signs of jowling through a shorter scar, with less downtime than a full lift. Choose it if your jawline is starting to soften but your neck is firm.
The one stitch facelift gives a subtle, quick lift to very early cheek descent using a single internal suture. Choose it for minimal downtime, accepting a more modest and shorter-lasting result than a mini facelift.
Revision facelift improves a previous facelift that looks too tight, has faded or left visible scars or pulled-down earlobes. Choose it if you are unhappy with an earlier facelift, at least a year after surgery.
A neck lift firms a loose or banded neck and clears fullness beneath the chin, giving a cleaner jawline. Choose it when the neck, rather than the jowls, is what bothers you.
The mini neck lift firms a neck that has started to slacken, through a small incision under the chin and sometimes by the earlobes, with less downtime. Choose it while the changes are still mild.
Facial fat transfer uses your own fat to refill areas that have hollowed with age: the temples, cheeks and under the eyes. Choose it if lost volume, not sagging, is what makes you look tired.
Chin and neck liposuction clears a double chin caused by fat, sharpening the angle between jaw and neck. Choose it if your skin is still firm enough to tighten once the fat has gone.
A lip lift raises the upper lip by shortening the skin beneath the nose, showing more of the pink lip. Choose it if a long upper lip, not thin lips, is the issue.
Lip reduction makes full upper or lower lips smaller through a hidden incision inside the mouth, so no scar shows. Choose it if your lips are large by nature rather than from filler.
Dimpleplasty creates a dimple in one or both cheeks, working from inside the mouth so there is no scar on the face. Choose it if you want dimples that show when you smile.
Buccal fat removal thins out rounded lower cheeks by taking away part of a deep fat pad. Choose it only if the fullness remains at a healthy weight, as faces thin with age.
Genioplasty moves or reshapes your own chin bone, bringing it forward, back or shorter so the chin sits in proportion. Choose it for bigger or uneven corrections an implant alone cannot make.
Chin augmentation adds projection to a chin that sits too far back, usually with a silicone implant. Choose it for a stronger profile; chin filler is a reversible way to preview the change first.
Chin reduction makes a large or long chin smaller by reshaping the bone, working inside the mouth. Choose it if your chin looks too prominent for the rest of your face.
Otoplasty pins back ears that stick out or reshapes their fold, with the scar hidden behind the ear. Choose it if prominent ears have bothered you for years; it is available to adults only.
Earlobe repair closes a split lobe or a hole stretched by heavy earrings or gauges, usually with no time off. Choose it if an earlobe no longer holds an earring or has torn through.
Earlobe reduction shortens or narrows earlobes that have become long or heavy with age or years of earrings. Choose it if the lobe’s size, not a tear, is the problem.
