Are you concerned that a certain area of your body lacks elasticity and shape? Are you looking for a procedure that’s non-invasive with quick results? The Fotona TightSculpting laser treatment could be exactly what you’re looking for. Not only is it a non-invasive treatment, it can target your concerns, leaving you with less fat cells and a more youthful appearance.
What is TightSculpting?
This revolutionary, dual-wavelength laser procedure sculpts and tightens the skin in a fast, safe and effective way. TightSculpting can be used on all areas of the body, addressing body fat and the appearance of the skin; this is through the heat of the laser targeting fat pockets. Though the treatment mainly focuses on reducing fat and tightening the skin, it also improves the appearance of cellulite. The treatment is completed in two stages; the first uses the Nd:YAG laser pulse and the second uses the Er:YAG laser pulse.
How does each laser pulse differ?
The Nd:YAG laser pulse safely and rapidly heats the deep tissue and fat layer. This results in deep skin tightening and fat reduction by stimulating fat cell metabolism and collagen fibre reconstruction. Whilst the Nd:YAG laser works on reducing the fat in the area, the Er:YAG laser improves skin laxity and tightens collagen fibres further. Not only does it tighten the fibres that are already there, it also stimulates the production of new collagen by heating the tissue. Through this remodelling process, the overall thickness, elasticity and firmness of the skin is improved.
Is this procedure painful?
Whilst majority of the TightSculpting treatment is painless, the second stage can cause slight discomfort, however, it is the shorter of the two stages and may take only five minutes to complete. With an overall treatment time of 30 minutes per session, TightSculpting gives you long lasting results with no downtime.
Is TightSculpting the same as CoolSculpting?
If you’re trying to decide between the two treatments, the answer is no. CoolSculpting is a method of fat cryo lipolysis and it destroys fat cells by freezing them. This can be a painful procedure as vacuums are used to extract the targeted fat; there are also more risks with this treatment as it can cause nerve damage. On the other hand, TightSculpting uses heat from the laser to permanently destroy the fat cells. There is little to no pain throughout the procedure and no downtime is needed afterwards; this makes it the better and safer option between the two.
How do I know if the TightSculpting treatment issuitable for me?
TightSculpting is great for those who wish to improve
skin laxity and reduce the thickness of subcutaneous fat in any part of their
body. Furthermore, it’s an excellent treatment if you want smoother skin
and a more youthful appearance.
As with all of the non-invasive procedures we offer, you will need to attend a consultation with our Aesthetic Practitioner so you can receive the correct advice and go through the various options that are available. There may be another procedure that is more suitable for your concerns, such as liposuction or an abdominoplasty.
How many sessions will I need to see optimal results?
In order to achieve the best results from this treatment, you may need between three to eight sessions. Each treatment will need to be spaced at least 10 days apart so the area can heal.
