What is Banana Roll Liposuction?
Banana Roll Liposuction is the removal of fat underneath the buttocks crease. This can be a pocket of fat which is built up below the buttock area. Although this area is not noticed by most, celebrities such as Kim Kardashian and Nicki Minaj have given women the wish to contour their buttock area and rid themselves of the ‘banana roll’. The heavier the buttock area the more likely to have a bigger banana roll, women with larger buttocks would enquire about banana roll liposuction to make the buttock area more attractive and appealing. Once the banana roll is removed it brings more shape and definition to that are between buttock area and thigh. Some patients even use fat transfer to remove the banana roll fat and implant it into the buttock area which is effective in giving the buttock area the desired look, giving more shape also.
How liposuction is performed
Liposuction aims to reduce fat content in any chosen area. The liposuction technique we use at Centre for Surgery is the PAL lipo technique which involves small incisions being made into the required area. Before the procedure starts, the target area is injected with an anaesthetic to ensure you feel no pain during the procedure. The surgeon then makes small incisions which allow them to insert the cannula. This is able to separate the fat globules, allowing for the procedure to be performed easier. Next, the excess fat is suctioned out of the body. The remaining fat in the body is then sculpted so you can have the most aesthetically pleasing results. With it being minimally invasive this means recovery time will be considerably less making it useful for those have a limited period off of work.
